Accompanying Sudan towards post-conflict stabilisation and supporting humanitarian negotiations

In March 2025, Promediation and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs have launched a programme to accompany Sudan towards post-conflict stabilisation. Specifically, the programme aims to support a Sudanese-led Security Sector Reform (SSR) in consonance with the Jeddah Declaration of Commitment to Protect the Civilians of Sudan.

The programme also includes supporting the de-escalation of border relations (Eritrea, Chad) through informal dialogue processes between armed groups, local communities and national authorities. 

Finally, Promediation works on facilitating dialogue between armed actors and the humanitarian community in order to increase humanitarian access.
